The 2010-2011 CPRS Manitoba luncheon series kicks off with the introduction of a new initiative designed to get more businesses to say Yes! Winnipeg. In his keynote address Bill Morrissey, the leader of Yes! Winnipeg will outline how this grassroots campaign has developed into an important initiative that has attracted millions of dollars in support from both the public and private sector.
Yes! Winnipeg is a private-sector initiative aimed at growing and strengthening Winnipeg’s private sector economy by proactively attracting new companies to our city, assisting existing companies to expand, and helping entrepreneurs bring their ideas to commercial reality. Bill Morrissey is the head and a founder of Yes! Winnipeg. Previously, Bill was Senior Vice President, Membership and Marketing for the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce.
He is a graduate of the University of Manitoba with a B.A. (Economics) and B. Comm. (Marketing). He has worked for Xerox and Standard Aero, in various senior management roles.
Bill is past President of the Winnipeg Executives Association and past Chair of Kidsport Winnipeg. He has served on the Boards of Directors of the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce, Kidsport Canada and Breezy Bend Country Club.
Bill has been the recipient of Volunteer of the Year awards by Sport Manitoba, Wpg Chamber of Commerce and the Wpg Executives Assoc.
