For PR professionals managing relationships is a big part of the job, whether it be seeking out or strengthening partnerships, liaising with the media, or communicating effectively with your audiences. So why does managing some relationships with coworkers and loved ones drive you crazy and seem so difficult at times? It’s something particularly important for PR practitioners, who typically have to work with a large number of people across their place of employment. In this session you will explore the four essentials for communicating effectively, preventing problems and resolving differences in your day to day relationships.
Since 1995 through her company Touchstone Resources, Pat Hirst has been working with companies to help people communicate effectively and work through differences to achieve organizational results. Interpersonal skills are her specialty. These include assertion skills, adapting communication approaches across styles, negotiation skills, presentation skills, leadership skills and conflict resolution skills.
