Communicating in Crisis: Pro Tips
CPRS invites you to hone your crisis communications skills with a specialized half-day seminar targeting what you need to know – from planning to execution. You will learn from and interact with three industry experts on crisis communications that you can apply to your work.
The CPRS Crisis Communications Seminar comprises of two sections:
Interactive Morning Workshop
10AM – 1145AM
Join us for a hands-on crisis communications workshop that will involve audience participation. Come with lots of energy and ideas – and prepared to be put on your toes by two savvy Communications Services Manitoba communicators: former broadcast journalists Paul White and Glen Cassie. Realistic scenarios, plans and strategies will be shared.
Crisis Communications in the Canadian Forces Luncheon
1145AM – 130PM
Featuring Keynote Speaker Major Mike Lagace, join us for lunch and a compelling speech by this respected military communications leader. Major Lagace’s “Crisis, Emergency and Risk Communications” talk will provide a foundation for communicators to learn about becoming a trusted and valued member of the senior management team when crisis hits. Major Lagace will share a process that will help you survive – and even thrive – when crisis hits.
