CPRS Manitoba Wants Your Nominees for the 10th Annual Manitoba Communicator of the Year Awards

The Canadian Public Relations Society, Manitoba Chapter is excited to announce that nominations are now open for the 10th Annual Manitoba Communicator of the Year (MCOY) Awards.

Celebrating excellence in communications, the MCOY award honours individuals and organizations whose work in public relations or communications has had a significant impact in the community.

View the nomination guidelines here.

2017 Award Categories

There are three MCOY Award categories open for nominations:

Small Campaign Award (Budgets less than $20,000) [nomination form]
Large Campaign Award (Budgets greater than $20,000) [nomination form]
Crowning Achievement Award [nomination form]

The Small and Large Campaign Awards are open to Manitoba practitioners in business, government, non-profit and community organizations whose efforts in the past two years (January 1, 2015 – December 31, 2016) have resulted in a greater understanding of a specific issue, successful promotion of a cause, expert management of a crisis, or the public’s acceptance of an organization’s mandate. The accompanying budget levels of each award category ensure nominees are evaluated on a level playing field against their peers.

The Crowning Achievement Award is open to a Manitoba practitioner who has made a substantial contribution to or an outstanding achievement in the field of public relations or communications over the course of their career.

Nominees do not have to be professional communicators or CPRS members to be eligible for a MCOY award.

The MCOY award will be presented at a gala evening on April 20, 2017. Further details will be announced shortly.
