Student Membership in CPRS Manitoba is your ticket in to the province’s exciting public relations community, as well as an introduction to Canada’s only association dedicated solely to PR professionals.  You’re on your way to one of the best career moves you may ever make!

CPRS Student Memberships cost only $40 for 15 months.  This number was increased from 12 months, to allow students to benefit from membership for a short while after they graduate, when many are looking for a job in their new career.  As a Student Member, you will have access to all the same local benefits as our regular members, including:

    • Professional development through unrivaled speakers, workshops, luncheons, social gatherings and other CPRS events
    • Powerful networking within Manitoba’s PR community, representing potential colleagues, employers, employees, and clients
    • Member discounts for all CPRS events and professional development sessions
    • Career opportunities by advance e-mail postings to CPRS Manitoba members
    • Members-only access to CPRS Manitoba’s membership list, career postings, professional development information, resource materials, board meeting minutes, and Insight archives
    • Free subscription to Insight, the tri-annual CPRS Manitoba e-newsletter, highlighting local CPRS activities and PR industry news
    • Fun and Friendship with a diverse group of PR professionals

In addition, you can take advantage of unique student opportunities, which may include:

    • Meet:  Student-focused networking events
    • Learn:  Job skill development sessions
    • Grow:  Access to mentorship opportunities
    • Lead:  Volunteering with full members as a committee member or even a Student Director

Student Members are aligned with CPRS Manitoba only, so there are a few limitations on the membership.  These include:

    • No voting privileges
    • Unable to run for local or national board position
    • Not eligible for accreditation (APR)
    • Do not receive national membership directory
    • Must pay non-member rate for national conference registration
    • Unable to enter national awards program
    • Unable to access members-only area of national Web site
