CPRS Manitoba Life Member becomes Manitoba Masters Curling Champ!

CPRS Manitoba is proud to celebrate Life Member Terry Aseltine, APR, FCPRS and his team as the Manitoba Masters curling champs! Terry is heading out east to compete at the nationals. Good luck, Terry!

2015 University of Winnipeg CPRS Manitoba Scholarship Recipient

Huge congratulations and kudos go to Marilyn Camaclang, the University of Winnipeg PACE PR student and CPRS Manitoba member who recently graduated with the highest mark in her class! CPRS Manitoba board member Chris Albi (right) was at convocation to present Marilyn with her $500 CPRS Manitoba scholarship and certificate, and to wish her well as she starts her career in PR! All the best, Marilyn.

Terry Aseltine inducted as Life Member

In May 2015, we were delighted to announce the designation of Terry Aseltine, APR, FCPRS as a CPRS Manitoba life member at our 2015 Manitoba Communicator of the Year luncheon gala.

Terry has held positions at MTS, Great-West Life and the CNIB. More recently, he was public relations manager at the Winnipeg Art Gallery, and in corporate communications at the City of Winnipeg. Terry concluded his career at the University of Manitoba — handling the portfolio of government relations and community engagement. A long-standing member of CPRS, he is past-president of the Manitoba chapter and also served on the national executive, becoming national president in 1995.

In spring 2015, Terry was a member of the national nominating committee and is a Fellow of the Canadian Public Relations Society.
