Brian Bowman, Partner at Pitblado Law and immediate Past Chair of the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce  will discuss how social media has changed the game. He will reference actual cases from years of advising as a leading social media lawyer and community activist.

This “from the trenches” discussion will highlight the risks and opportunities of social media with an emphasis of practical things you can implement to maximize the value of your online efforts in an ethical and legal manner.

Brian Bowman is involved in numerous community volunteer efforts including serving as Incoming President of the Winnipeg Art Gallery and Incoming Chair of the Canadian Bar Association’s National Privacy and Access Law Section.

He is a nationally recognized leader in privacy, access to information and social media law, and is a frequent speaker, media commentator and author.
